Food Science & Safety Pathway
The focus of this course is to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to take and pass the ServSafe® Industry Certification test. This certification was developed the National Restaurant Association to ensure safe food handling practices in the food service industry. The State and food service employers worldwide acknowledge the value of this certification.
Course content includes instruction in the principles of food processing and preparation, handling, packaging, food storage and distribution, and related aspects of human health and safety including food borne illnesses.
