Early Childhood Education
Students in this class are responsible for passing State of Florida exams and putting together a portfolio as well as a resource file box. They must have 480 hours of working with children directly and they have to complete 4 full years of Early Childhood Education. They will receive their ECPC (Early Childhood Professional Certification) when they receive their high school diploma and are 18 years old. They may become a preschool teacher with those credentials. If they want to become a public school teacher and go to SPC and stay in Early Childhood, they will be given 9 credit hours towards their AS degree because they took all 4 years of this class. The one is the picture of the t-shirts they wear on their days they do their internship at Lew Williams Childcare Center.
